Conrad H Agramont Jr. is recognized leader in the Microsoft hosting industry and a published author.  He is President of Agramont Services, LLC, which provides Strategic IT Consulting and Advisory services with solutions, built on the Microsoft Platform.  Conrad has worked at Microsoft Corporation for over seven years in both product development and sales organization.  He was a Partner Technology Specialist focused on technical readiness for Microsoft Infrastructure Partners delivering solution to small to midmarket enterprises within the Mid-Atlantic region.  Conrad was previously the Senor Architect for a Microsoft Gold Partner, where he was responsible for product planning, software architect, and technical evangelism, focusing on Enterprises and Service Providers worldwide.  He was also a Program Manager at Microsoft, driving hosting scenarios and architecting components for the Microsoft Provisioning System, Microsoft Solutions for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration, and Windows-Based Hosting 3.0.  Conrad has more than 10 years of experience working in the Microsoft automation and hosting space, speaking at public events, published in magazines and a book.  Conrad is an active contributor in the social media world via his blog, twitter, and an active participant in many forums throughout the Internet

My development experience ranges from multi-system architecture & integration to component level development.  The majority of my development background resides in ASP.NET/ASP applications leveraging SQL Server as a data platform and making native/.NET calls to Windows System Components (E.g. ADSI/COM/WMI).

Interesting Tidbits

  • Microsoft U.S. East Region Lead for Microsoft Virtualization with a focus on Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft System Center family of products.
  • Microsoft U.S. East Region Technical Lead for Product Launch of Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, and Visual Studio 2008.  Presented product demonstrations in collaboration with Bob Muglia, Senior Vice President of the Server and Tools Business, at the Washington D.C. official launch event.
  • Delivered multiple sessions at the Gartner Midsize Enterprise 2008 conference focused on Microsoft Virtualization.
  • Lead the planning and design phases of the Microsoft Provisioning System product which included the cross-group collaboration and coordination of multiple groups throughout Microsoft and external vendors.  Delivered the vision for the program manager, developers, testers and user assistance teams.  Shipped the Microsoft Provisioning System in June of 2002.
  • Architected a multi-tenant Active Directory structure that supported a multi-reseller and multi-customer structure within a single Active Directory domain.
  • Created, designed, developed and shipped the Microsoft Web Admin Tool., which is a web based tool that provisions Active Directory, Exchange 2000, Internet Information 6, FrontPage 2000 and Windows 2000 DNS Services.
  • Coordinated, developed content and delivered the Microsoft Office Online workshop to 15 Global ASP Customers and Partners.  The workshop educated Microsoft’s partners and customers on how to use Microsoft Windows 2000 and Office 2000 to deploy a hosted Microsoft Office solution using Terminal Services.
  • Published book “How to Cheat At IIS 7 Server Administration” as a Technical Editor and published by Syngress in 2007
  • Published “History of Microsoft Hosted Exchange” in Ping! Zine Magazine, Vol. 3, Issue 5, 2006
