    Provware Framework: Build 001

The first version of the Provware Framework is now available.  Please consider this build to be an Alpha/CTP release.  You can downoad it here: http://agramont.net/files/folders/builds/entry66.aspx

Checkout the Provware Blog for samples and updates: http://agramont.net/blogs/provware/default.aspx

    Features Found in this build:

    • Bind to site by name
    • All IIS Properties for a Site, Virtual Directory, or Application pool are .NET Properties
    • Create Site
    • Create Virtual Directory
    • For a given Server, you can get back a DataTable of all the sites (properties returned can be defined as well).

Here are some additioanl release notes for this build:

    1. Portal is slow when first connecting to a new site.  This is because it is pulling all of the site information for the server into it's object model.  After the initial load, it is stored in the Session Cache.  This may change to an application cache in the future....suggestions?

A quick note about the roadmap:

    1. Provware Portal - Feature Parity with IIS MMC (as much as possible)
    2. Delete Functions
    3. Manage more IIS Objects

    Dream List:

    • Mobile Device interface - Use your Pocket PC or web phone to interact with the Portal.
